Folders, Storage Boxes & Mylar sleevesIn order to manage the risk of storage and transport, it is advisable to keep unframed artworks in custom-made archival sleeves and boxes. These are made from age-resistant and acid-free materials to ensure that the storage system itself does not cause damage to the stored work. ASA provides clear Mylar sleeves, which are ideal for works of art on paper, photographs and maps. These can be made to size and offer protection from UV light, dust, insects, moisture, liquid spills and acid infiltration from (possible) surrounding materials.
As an extra preventative measure, ASA can produce storage folders and boxes made from archival card and inert polypropylene board. |
